Welcome to e-Logbook ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your information when you use our application.

We collect the following information when you register and use our app:

• Full name, age, gender, and date of birth
• Email address and mobile number
• Residential address
• Medical college, university, degree, designation, and academic details
• PG Guide and HOD name and designation
• Activity logs, dissertation details, and certification records
• Profile photo, university logo, institution logo, and uploaded documents
• Payment information processed securely via Razorpay — we do not store card or bank details

3. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used solely for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain the e-Logbook service
• To generate official PDF logbook reports for departmental submission
• To track and display your academic progress
• To authenticate your identity securely via Google or Email
• To process Premium subscription payments via Razorpay
• To send transactional emails such as welcome messages and premium confirmations
• To send important service updates and announcements

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage & Security

All your data is securely stored on Google Firebase, a trusted cloud platform by Google. Your data is accessible only by you when logged in to your account. All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Student Profile → Danger Zone → Delete My Account. Upon deletion, all records, uploaded files, and personal data are permanently erased from our systems.

6. Third-Party Services

We use Google Firebase for data storage and authentication, and Razorpay for secure payment processing. These services operate under their own privacy policies.

7. Cookies & Local Storage

e-Logbook uses minimal browser local storage only to maintain your session and app preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies of any kind.

8. Children's Privacy

e-Logbook is intended exclusively for Postgraduate Medical Students who are adults (18 years or older). We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of 18.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and review all data associated with your account
• Edit and update your personal information at any time via Edit Profile
• Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data
• Withdraw consent by discontinuing use of the application

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
